Only 70 videos out of the 4,000 that were released in the year of 2010 were nominated for awards in the 14 different categories. This year, pop singer Kimura Kaela received awards for both “BEST ARTIST” and “BEST FEMALE VIDEO” for her PVs “You bet!!”, “Ring a Ding Dong”, and “A winter fairy is melting a snowman”, while rock band Sakanaction’s PV for “A Look Around” received the “BEST VIDEO OF THE YEAR” award.
